How does the engine transfer power to the rear wheel? It looks like there is a belt or a chain on the left side in the top photo. Is there a transmission of some sort to adjust gear ratios? It looks like a small automotive engine being used.
For the record, if you look at the background you can tell that dude is Chinese. I see all sorts of stuff like this here. The best is when they chicken-wire a lawnmower engine to a Flying Pigeon bike.
This is by far the coolest gearhead improv I've seen though.
