I love that people are fine when someone they never knew is made fun of after death, but not if it's someone they liked.
Please. I respect Steve for the most part (he certainly was NOT always the best for animals) and what he stood for (most of the time) but this? Still funny.
It's funny. It's a funny costume. It's a ballsy costume. It's just a costume. He's not wearing a "Thank god Steve Irwin is dead. Let's dance on his grave" t-shirt.
There is humor in everything. Whether you want to acknowledge it or not. There is definitely humor in ironic deaths. Like when snake-handling Pentecostal preachers die from snake bites. That's funny. On many different levels.
It's Halloween people. Lighten up.
If you want to get upset about someone dishonoring the recently deceased, then shit all over the Westboro Baptist Church and their disgusting demonstrations at soldiers funerals.
BTW, Bill Maher, wasn't the first to make light of Irwin's death.
I thought of that in the pub last week, only with the stingray actually attached. There was a roughly thirty-seventy split of resounding disgust and MAX ROFL.
For the record, anyone is welcome to make light of my eventual hideous death in song, costume or interpretive dance.

Since it's my post, here's my two cents....
